LOCAL & REGIONAL PLANS
The purpose of developing local and regional plans for workforce development boards is to create a strategic and coordinated approach to workforce development, fostering economic vitality and ensuring that the local workforce remains competitive and adaptable.
PUblic Comment
​The Workforce Investment Board of Tulare County, in conjunction with the San Joaquin Valley and Associated Counties Regional Planning Unit (SJVAC RPU) have developed Local and Regional Plans to strategize how the areas will approach meeting the needs of local and regional partners, businesses, and constituents through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The Local and Regional Plans describe research and regional labor market analysis for the local area and region, and how the local board and regional planning unit will lead efforts to engage with a diverse range of employers and other entities in the local area and region. in order to meet WIOA Regulations 20 CFR § 679.370.
