Attending the 32nd Annual Tulare County Job Fair: Connect with Top Employers and Boost Your Career

The Workforce Investment Board of Tulare County is proud to announce the 32nd Annual Tulare County Job Fair, which will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Visalia Convention Center. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with nearly 100 employers from a wide range of industries and over 1,000 job seekers expected to attend.

The Tulare County Job Fair is a one-stop-shop for job seekers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you are looking for your first job, a career change, or simply exploring your options, this event has something to offer everyone.

As the largest job fair in the Central Valley, this annual event is a vital link between local businesses and the talented workforce of Tulare County. Employers will be available to meet with prospective employees, discuss current job openings, and provide information on how to apply for available positions. Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume, dress to impress, and come prepared to explore a range of career opportunities.

The Employment Connection team will be on-site to assist job seekers in navigating the job fair, offering valuable services such as resume reviews, mock interviews, and career planning. The team’s goal is to help attendees feel confident and prepared, reducing any anxieties about the process. "We want to make sure job seekers feel supported and ready to make meaningful connections with potential employers," said Craig Plath, Division Director, Workforce Development Department, Employment Connection.

To help attendees make the most of this opportunity, Job Fair Preparation workshops will be held every Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Visalia and Porterville Employment Connection centers leading up to the event. These workshops provide tips on resume building, interview skills, and how to strategically approach employers at the fair​.

The Job Fair is free of charge and open to all job seekers, from recent graduates to seasoned professionals. Veterans will be given priority entrance at 8:30 AM, in recognition of their service and to ensure they have ample opportunity to connect with employers​.
